Two nails should be inserted into the wooden or rubber cork and placed on a beaker as shown in the illustration. Connect a bulb, a 6-volt battery, and a wire to the switch using an iron nail. Dip the nails in glucose or alcohol after pouring some. Even though the bulb is connected to the switch, when you turn it on, it does not light up. Now, pour the HCL solution into the beaker. This time, the light bulb is turned on. This demonstrates that acid can carry electricity, alcohol, and glucose cannot. Hope it helps...
