It is really a very problematic and serious issue for the teachers teaching CS/IP to XI and XII classes.The students take/treat it as optional subject.

The Subject : Physical Education is taken as sixth subject to improve the result of the school, as permitted by CBSE. Due to this, the result of the particular subject of CS/IP suffers OR the concerned teacher suffers, because the result of the student and overall school goes well due to PHYSICAL EDUCATION.

I want to bring it to your kind notice that when we say that computers are indispensable for the society and provide a huge career opportunities also, then why don't we make it a compulsory subject for all.

Moreover the syllabus prescribed is very difficult for the students of XI and XII classes. It includes C++, data structures, file handling, Java which are not studied seriously by the students (being optional).

So, the subject can be made compulsory with concept based syllabus for beginners of computers.
